Take a deep breath, and jump into the blue!

This time last year, the Bug was afraid of water. The weekly swimming lesson had to be tackled with a careful blend of patience, encouragement, tear-immunity, and McFlurry promises. If we could get him into the water without a tear falling, it would be brilliant; if the grumbling was allowed to take hold, an inconsolable wreck would be handed back 15 minutes later. So an element of trepidation hooked up with us as we hit the swimming pool on our Siblu holiday last July. We needn’t have worried: (Do watch to the end of this video; if you don’t have …

Easy Pork Schnitzel Recipe Only 5 Weightwatchers Pro Points

"Weightwatchers easy port schnitzel recipe"

We were recently given a new WeightWatchers recipe book titled Fresh and easy everyday. Mummy finds that the key to staying on track with her ProPoints is variety, so new recipes are always welcome. Inspired by our recent cookery class with top chef Francesco Mazzei, and by the promise of “easy” recipes, Mummy handed over this Weightwatchers book to me, and left me to get on with it. I chose this easy Pork Schnitzel recipe because I like all the ingredients, and we estimated a total cooking time of 15 minutes. Mummy cooked some tiny rosemary and garlic potatoes, …

Wot So Funee? The Family Chortlequaffer

We’re not big milk drinkers in our house. Mummy says she tickled my ear and sat through endless Baby Einstein recordings in her efforts to make me drink just one more ounce from my baby bottle. The Bug was worse – his dairy intolerance led to him being prescribed a dreadful chemical concoction smelling more like blue cheese than the sweet milk of a baby. Consequently we lost the milk habit very young, and our calcium these days is more likely to come from cheese, broccoli, and dried apricots (did you know, 3 dried apricots contain as much calcium as …

A new Moshi Monsters app – and what the Bug gets up to on Twitter!

This is a Linky post – go ahead and link up This week we collected some great quotes from other funee kids and were set to do another Wot So Funee? compilation post. There are 100 digital stickers to customise over 60 Moshlings. Which will take about as long as it takes to drive to Grandma’s house, so that’s all …

65/366 Photos (Well, a video actually)

Yesterday the weather was grim. It rained; it poured; and we were gobsmacked when eventually it snowed. Great big wet splodges of slush, splattered on the window pane as we gazed hopefully at the trampoline: Luckily for us, it was Mother’s day so we stayed home and ate, and played Slug in a Jug all day!

Wot So Funee? Week 4 The Boden Catalogue

You know how when you see something in a catalogue that you really like, you mark it, maybe by turning down a corner, ticking it, or some other method of remembering it before you log-on to make the purchase? Well I do that too. I underline things, with varying degrees of intensity, depending on how much I like them, then shove it under Mummy’s nose and cross my fingers. When the new Boden catalogue arrived the other day Mummy was getting tea ready and was intrigued to hear this from my corner of the table: Mmmmm, yummy, gotta have that, …
