Lets get one thing straight. This is my blog, right? Therefore these are my top 5 Christmas songs. If you don’t like it don’t listen – but these are, in actual real life, the top 5 Christmas songs of all time. That’s my time, right?
Merry Christmas Everybody by Slade:
Mummy has been struggling to feel the Christmas spirit until now, but this has got her tingling, she says. I think they look weird, and what on earth was the rubbish telly? Did nobody tell them about HD and 3D? However I do have to admit that it is my favourite, I know all the words, I have been admired for cuteness when singing it in town, but no, my Granny doesn’t rock ‘n roll like they suggest in the lyrics!
Last Christmas by Ashley Tisdale:
Look, I said this was my top 5 ok? Deal with it! Sharpay Evans is my role model. I think I have the bad attitude completely nailed. Isn’t George Michael for my Mum anyway?*Insert eyeroll* Or maybe my Dad…
Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer by ‘Destiny’s Child’:
I am loving the X Factor at the moment, especially Kelly and the girls, but I can’t work out which one she is in here….
Right, now for my next 2 Mummy has twisted my arm and made me put her current faves in. Now, never one for blowing my own trumpet I am very reluctant to make you watch these, but……. you have to watch these!!
Frosty the Snowman by me and my mates:
This was my first ever Christmas dance show in a real theatre. If you didn’t make it to the end at least watch the last 30 seconds because you will see me gently take control of the situation when a younger dancer momentarily forgot her steps – it was my starring role!
Donkey Plodding by The Bug’s school nativity production:
So what do you think? Good enough to make it into the top 5 Christmas songs? Oh. Back to the drawing board then…
I’m definitely a fan of Frosty the Snowman. But mainly because of the fabulous dancing. And I used to be a dance teacher dontcha know…. So I know about these things! Xx
See? See Mummy? I told you I was going to be a dance star!
I’d never heard Donkey plodding before, I fink! I all of those but I do confess I love love George Michael, I was going to marry him ya know (well, before he announced he was gay and all that).
Yeah yeah, Mummy too Careless Whisper and all that *eyeroll* 😉
There always has to be a favourite doesn’t there and today it is Donkey Plodding. A new one on me but definitely one to share around the piano on Christmas Day 😉
Definitely – now if we can just work out what the tune really is….
LOL! Had to comment… Sorry, but I vote for the Wham! version of “Last Christmas”!
Erm I prefer Wham ‘s Last Christmas , I do accept each to our own though! Your rendition of Frosty The Snowman is brilliant a star is born 🙂 x
