By the Bug
I’ve discovered a new passion at school, and so I have decided what I’m going to be when I grow up. We’ve been learning about science, watching cheese, and bread and acorns fester and go mouldy in our classroom. I’ve seen films about scientists, and I like the look of what they do in their labs. So when I grow up I’m going to be a scientist. I announced this fact to my family just the other day:
“I’m learning to be a good scientist, so I might be a bit busy sometimes when I come home from school.”
I elaborated further on what kind of scientist I am going to be. I want to work with animals, and help them when they’re poorly.
“I’ll be a vet. On my day off I could work with GG and help her with the dolphins”Β (she’s going to be a dolphin trainer at Sea World).Β “But I’ll have to take my white coat off before I go in the water.”
“Oh that’s ok,”Β piped up my sister.Β “I’ll lend you a wetsuit. I’ll have to wear one every day, and my skin will get all wrinkly, but it’s worth it.”
Mummy says she can’t wait to visit us at work π

Ha, sounds like they have it all worked out π xx
Sounds like they have everything planned….What fab career choices x
Interesting career choices. Can I visit them at work too π x
Tee hee – I wanted to be a sales asst in Clark’s when I was younger. I was obsessed with those measuring thingys. Lol. Ambitious children you have there!
I love it. I would still like to be a dolphin trainer!
They sounds like best jobs! Can I come and visit you in Sea World too?
Of course, we’ll have a SAGA coach trip π
ha this is exactly what my daughter wants to do as well!
I’d also love to come and visit for a day at that place of work!
Good you are keeping a note of their career choices, if they’re anything like me it’ll be interesting to look back at all the variations and ideas they had as children once they’re actually out there working!
Great ideas for jobs, they are characters your two π
I’ll be linking up with D’s funee in a bit
Jeannette
I always wanted to be a trainer at Sea World after watching Free Willy…wasn’t too keen on the water part though :-/
Oh they’re SO cute! Dolphin trainer sounds like the best job ever. You must be so proud of them π
I really am! π
They have a total plan there. If I start wearing a wet suit will it stop my wrinkles too do you think?;)
I nearly said ‘your’ wrinkles but because it’s a special week I am being sickly nice to you.
Normal service to resume next week though!
I would be disappointed with anything less!
I love the fact that Bug will be having a busman’s holiday on his day off! π Hope you don’t mind me linking up a poem this week.
Not at all. Folks I’ve been rubbish this week at commenting and sharing – I’m getting married, did you know??! π
But I will get to them, even if I’m very late xxx
Could have sworn I’d commented on this – sorry! Those are both great jobs, and I love that they’ve worked out how they can work together too π
